Trend analysis of hydrological parameters of Ganga River

چکیده
Ganga River basin, being the largest river basin in India, adheres with its social and spiritual importance for country. Although many studies have been conducted on however, trend observed flow sediment yield has scarcely studied. Alteration pattern transport rivers brings remarkable impact geomorphology entire ecosystem of region. The present paper attempts to identify trends terms annual maximum minimum discharges, water during monsoon season. analysis was accomplished by performing Mann-Kendall (M-K), Sen’s slope, innovative at various gauging sites along months. Significance tests were tested 5% significance level. Innovative (ITA) revealed non-monotonicity within time series provided more detailed understanding changes hydrological changes. While discharge showed a negative almost all sites, positive upstream confluence Yamuna River. Data load months also declining most sites. Water yields except Gandhighat trend. Decline is pronounced Western Plain (WGP) as compared Eastern (EGP). Incorporating these can be helpful management projects future. Both climatic factors human intervention appear responsible alteration

15 صفحه اولAssessing environmental contamination of River Ganga using correlation and multivariate analysis
The aim of this study was to assess the environmental impact of socio-cultural practices on the water quality of River Ganga at the foothills of the Garhwal Himalayas in Uttarakhand State, India. The physico-chemical parameters that contributed to the temporal variation and pollution in the river were identified in this study. Principal component analysis (PCA) and Cluster analysis (CA) were us...

Temporal Variability of Climatic Parameters of Yamuna River Basin: Spatial Analysis of Persistence, Trend and Periodicity
Identification of the precise nature and attributes of the time series of climatological data is very important and is usually the first step for water resources planning and management. Such exercise is very important for hydro-climatic extremes. In many instances, a climatic time series is generally not statistically independent but is comprised of patterns of persistence, cycles, trends or s...
